No experience necessary - Beginner Class (Starting at Age 8 and Up)
- Class would meet every Tuesday 1-2 PM
- Will cover the basics of playing a string instrument
- 1 Concert guaranteed per Semester
- Music genres covered will include classical and pop/Disney
Ensemble playing is a core part of being a musician, and helps kids learn and practice life skills such as compromising, problem solving, teamwork, and personal responsibility.

With 49 years of experience, I have dedicated my life to teaching and sharing the joy of music. I began playing piano at age six and violin at eight, later earning a position in the first section of the Kern Philharmonic Orchestra during my senior year of high school. Over the years, I have taught private and group lessons in piano, violin, beginning guitar, and ukulele, while also performing on standup bass and fiddle in local bands. Music is a lifelong source of joy and self-expression, and I am passionate about helping others discover and nurture their own musical journey.
